The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central NH is looking to hire a receptionist! This is a part-time position, hours between 1 pm and 6 pm. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to multitask. In this position, you would assist members, parents, caregivers, staff, and members of the greater community by providing friendly and knowledgeable direction when entering the club and also when receiving a phone call.

Hiring immediately. Hourly rate is between $14.00 and $16.00.

Duties
  • Accurately enters members into the computer system when members are either entering or leaving the building.
  • Ensures that all members are being picked up by an authorized individual.
  • Acknowledges and greets everyone who enters and leaves the club's facilities.
  • Provides detailed descriptions of Boys & Girls Club, member applications, services, facility features, and hours of operations.
  • Answers the phone promptly and redirects phone requests to the appropriate party.
  • Assists staff in collecting parent signatures for permission slips.
  • Handles guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously; communicates parent's finance questions/requests to the Finance Department.
  • Maintains a clean; safe, fully stocked, and well-organized work area.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision and remain at assigned posts for extended periods of time.
  • Understands all safety procedures completely and ensure that they are followed appropriately.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment.
  • Assists in all areas of the club operation as requested.
  • Communicates to the Site/Branch Director any and all occurrences involving staff or visitors/parents in the club that requires attention.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and training when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong analytical skills.
  • Must have a pleasant telephone manner.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work well with the public as well as other staff.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
  • Must use good judgment and be able to work independently.
